All Omega Seamaster 300 M models are water resistant to 300 meters (1,000 feet) and are suitable for use in scuba diving and compression. Most models are in stainless steel and has a hypoallergenic stainless steel bracelet. There are other changes that have occurred cases of 18-karat gold or solid titanium bracelets and belts of rubber or leather.

Omega watches was founded in 1848 by Louis Brandt. The watches were produced with the aim to surpass others in high-precision timing. His two sons took over the business after his death and has developed its own production system itself. They focused heavily on producing their own two children calibers.After happened in 1903, mostly descended Paul Emile Brandt, at age 24 took over the company. Even at that young age, he was able to turn the workshop of 800 workers to new heights. He merged the company in the group SSIH in 1930 which later took on many other brands within their umbrella.It also became the first independent company to be the official timekeeper of the Olympic Games in Los Angeles in 1931. The next breakthrough came in 1965 when the Speedmaster Professional was found by NASA as a flight-qualified for all manned space missions. The first space walk by astronaut Edward White, was wearing the watch too. Then in 1969, the first astronauts, Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin, Omega watches used to land on the moon. Another test in the watch company was the Apollo 13 explosion of its service unit in 1970. The astronauts had to fly back to his office to cut total energy supply with limited oxygen supply.
